Through Tuscan hills where the cypress stands,
We drive to a castle where love joins hands

We recommend flying into the Florence International airport (FLR) - 11 Via del Termine, Toscana 50127, Italy.

If you plan to spend any additional time in Florence, here are some helpful notes:

Hotels in Florence are notoriously expensive. We highly recommend booking accommodations far in advance and on Airbnb if you plan to spend any additional time in Florence. Airbnb's in the area should range from $100 - $200/night for modern options.

Other Airbnb tips:

• Try to only book properties with 20+ reviews and only those who have 4+ rating.

• Look for options with A/C.

• Book a refundable property as soon as you RSVP -- again, you will be traveling in high season and prices can increase quickly.

Travel Notes:

Please check your passport expiration date ASAP. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date to the United States. If you do not have a passport, start applying now! Double-check that you have signed your passport.

Europe is planning to implement a pre-departure digital "visa" system - ETIAS - at some point in 2025 and will be required of all visitors.

Castello di Ristonchi is about a 40 minute drive from Florence center. We'll be providing a complimentary shuttle to the castello on arrival day and back to the city on departure day.

The shuttle will be leaving from Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence city center at 3:00 PM local time. We kindly ask that you plan to arrive in Florence with plenty of time to ensure a smooth journey to the venue.

The meeting point is at Piazzale Montelungo Binario 16, which is the parking space for all the busses at the train station. Look for the signs! If you’re coming from inside the station, it is only about a 2 minutes walk. The driver will be holding a sign for “Lizzie & Matt’s Wedding Guests.”

Guests are welcome at the castle starting at 4:00 PM. You may choose to rent a car and drive or take a taxi to the venue. The castle's parking lot has space for approximately 20 cars, so please let us know in advance if you plan to park on-site

Return transportation has been coordinated on Monday October 6th, and will be departing the castle heading to Santa Maria Novella Station at 11:00 AM.

Unless you’ve already discussed other arrangements with the bride and groom, all wedding guests will be staying on site at Castello Di Ristonchi. See the FAQ for more details on accommodation!
